Our story
Straight Answers, Fair Prices
1 Auto Repair has kept Oakland's cars running for years, working out of the same shop on Foothill Boulevard with a small team that treats every customer like a neighbor.
We check things properly before we recommend a fix. If your brakes are fine, we'll tell you they're fine. If a part can be repaired instead of replaced, we'll say so, and we explain what's happening under the hood so you're never guessing.
From routine smog checks to A/C systems and cooling repairs, we handle the everyday work that keeps a car dependable, done right the first time.

What customers say
“I thought I needed brakes on my Miata. Kenny put it on the rack and said my brakes were just fine, and it didn't cost me anything. Since then he's fixed my car three times with fair pricing. Thanks Kenny and Cesar!”
“My number one mechanic shop of all time. The owner is fair with his prices and gets the job done when he says it will be done. He fixed my water pump, thermostat, and hoses, and my car came back happy.”
“I needed my A/C fixed fast while visiting family in Oakland. The owner inspected it, explained exactly why the condenser needed to be replaced instead of the whole unit, and gave me a price that beat what my mechanic back home quoted. They had it fixed in two days. I'd recommend this place to anyone.”
