Our story
A Shop Worth Keeping
A & S Auto Repair works out of Angie Avenue in Modesto, taking on repair and maintenance for just about anything that rolls through the door — daily drivers, work trucks, and heavy-duty rigs alike.
Ask our customers what keeps them coming back and you'll hear the same things: straight answers, reasonable prices, and repairs that last. We've diagnosed problems over the phone before a customer ever set foot in the shop, and we've squeezed in travelers passing through town with no appointment because their truck couldn't wait.
Some of our customers have trusted us with the same vehicle for years — and driven it across the country afterward, trailer in tow. That's the standard we work to on every job.
- Straight-shooter diagnostics — sometimes right over the phone
- Any repair on any type of vehicle
- Known for our Ford truck expertise
What customers say
“A and S Auto Repair has to be rated in the upper five repair shops in Stanislaus County. I was in the automotive business for over 50 years. A straight shooter, very reasonable and reliable. I would highly recommend them to do any repair on any type of vehicle.”
“We have taken our 2006 Ford King Ranch to Abel for 4 years. Every time he repairs and services it we are totally satisfied. We drove it to Georgia last year & this year pulling a trailer & it's still going strong. The quality of his service is a 10!”
“We called up a local repair shop on our way down to SoCal and boy did we find a gem! Rico was very knowledgeable and helpful. Customer service A+++, he went out of his way when we didn't have an appointment to help diagnose our problem. They know what they are talking about when it comes to Ford Trucks.”
