Our story
Transparent Work, Every Time
A Street Auto Service is a downtown San Diego shop built on one idea: customers deserve to know exactly what's wrong with their car and why. Before any repair, our team documents the issue with photos and video, walks through what needs fixing now and what can reasonably wait, and never pads a bill with work that isn't necessary.
Our team handles everything from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics, and we work on a wide range of makes and models, from daily drivers to European imports like Mercedes and BMW. Families have brought their cars to us for years, and many send their kids and parents here too, because they know the work is thorough and the answers are honest.
Whether it's a coolant leak, a check engine light, or a repair the dealership quoted sky-high, we aim to get it right the first time and explain every step along the way.
- Photo and video documentation of every repair
- Honest guidance on what can wait vs. what can't
- Trusted across generations of the same families
- Experienced with foreign and domestic makes alike
What customers say
“Sean and this shop are some amazing people. The type of mechanics you can search for your entire life and never find. They are transparent, fair and communicative. They took video and pictures of the issues to show that the items did have to be done. They were also transparent on what could wait, but was recommended.”
“I've been coming here for about nine years, and I trust them completely. I even have my kids and parents bring their cars here because I know they'll be in good hands. They may not be the cheapest in town, but they are the most honest, and their work is always efficient and thorough. Chris is exceptional with diagnostics, and the entire team is wonderful.”
“They take care of both of my cars, Mercedes Convertible and Acura, like they are their own. They do great work and always look for ways to save me money. A Street has done most of the work for $1,000 less than other places. Highly recommend, I send all my friends to them.”
