Our story
About Alem All Foreign Auto Repair
We are a small, independent auto repair shop on Martin Luther King Jr Way in Oakland, specializing in foreign makes of all kinds. When your car comes in for one issue, we run a full diagnostic scan so nothing else gets missed, then handle the fix in a single visit whenever we can.
We source and order parts ourselves and get them delivered to the shop, so repairs move quickly instead of sitting on a waitlist. Customers tell us they keep coming back for the same reasons: clear explanations, fair prices, and a mechanic who genuinely cares about getting their car right.
Many of our customers have been with us for years, bringing family and friends along the way. We built this shop on that kind of trust, one repair at a time.
- Full diagnostic scan on every visit
- Parts ordered and delivered fast
- Fair, straightforward pricing
- Specialists in foreign makes
What customers say
“I don't go anywhere else, this is the only shop I trust! I've been coming to Alem, All Foreign, for many years, and this review is long overdue. Great prices, a great mechanic, and just good people all around. Thanks, Alem and Ambesa!”
“The few open shops I could find all said come back next week. Then I found Alem's shop number so I called expecting yet another rejection but instead I heard 'Come on in. I'll take a look at it.' I drove over and within 45 mins the problem was diagnosed and repaired. The price was so reasonable, the car was repaired so quickly.”
“Alem is fabulous. He's quick, smart, and honest. We've brought both our cars to him over the past few years and he does a great job and doesn't over charge.”
