Our story
A Small Shop Built on Straight Answers
Auto Repair Castaneda is a small, family-run shop in El Monte where the mechanic who diagnoses your car is the same one who fixes it. Customers consistently point to Ramiro's honesty: a quick, accurate diagnosis and a price that doesn't change once the work starts.
We've handled everything from brake jobs and transmission work to hydraulic pump replacements, and we're comfortable working on older models that other shops shy away from. Most repairs are turned around within a day, because a car sitting on a lift doesn't pay anyone's bills.
We don't upsell and we don't pad the bill. You get a clear explanation of what's wrong, what it costs, and why — every time.
- Accurate, upfront estimates
- Most repairs done same-day
- Experienced with older vehicles
- Fair, affordable pricing
What customers say
“It is a small shop, but Ramiro is a very honest mechanic. He'll give you a quick diagnostic and how much will cost. He is usually very accurate about both. I have had transmission, brakes and hydraulic pump replaced.”
“Super helpful and affordable. Didn't try to over charge me just because I'm a girl. My repair was done within a day. Definitely going back for all my car needs.”
“This is a great mechanic shop they tell you the truth on how much the repair is going to be. They fixed two cars of mine and I recommend them to fix your car at a affordable price.”
