Our story
The Antelope Valley's Honest Mechanic
At AV Auto Performance Garage, one mechanic sees your car through from diagnosis to repair. Oscar built this shop's reputation one honest estimate at a time — explaining what's actually wrong, walking customers through their options, and doing the job right the first time. We work on everything from oil leaks and tune-ups on daily commuters to fuel system rebuilds on a '99 Firebird, a numbers-matching 1970 Dodge Challenger, and European performance cars like the BMW 335i. If it needs an honest mechanic who knows his craft, it comes through our door. That approach has earned us a 4.9-star rating across 29 Google reviews and a shop full of repeat customers across the Antelope Valley who bring us every car they own.
- Same mechanic start to finish
- Classic & performance car experience

What customers say
“When other shops stand, AV auto performance stands out. There's a guy over there (Oscar) can't find anything bad to say about him. He was patient with my rambling about what might be wrong with my car. He was honest and transparent about the cost of repair and gave his recommendations. My Fusion was leaking oil from areas you can't even imagine. Oscar fixed the problem in a timely manner, did not charge an arm & leg, washed my engine, topped the fluids for FREE. You can trust this shop to get the job done the first time.”
“Oscar the mechanic at AV Auto Performance Garage is honest, communicative, hard-working, and will do his best to get you the best deal for the best work. I took my Toyota Camry there on a couple of occasions and Oscar has been nothing but honest, and has done everything he can to work with me on labor, and communicate to me all of my available options.”
“I have a 1970 Challenger. The last four mechanics charged me a significant amount of money but didn't fix the problem or made it worse. I decided to take a chance on Oscar (AV Auto Performance Garage). He not only fixed my car and got it running WAY BETTER, but the customer experience was top-tier (friendly, honest, and great communication). I will continue to bring him all my cars.”
