Our story
Merced's Independent European Specialist
We're an independent European auto shop in Merced, built around one simple idea: treat every Audi, Volkswagen, and Mercedes-Benz like it's our own. Shane has spent years working exclusively on European vehicles, so when your check engine light comes on or it's time for scheduled maintenance, you're getting dealer-level expertise without the dealer price tag.
We'd rather tell you the truth than sell you a repair. When a customer's sister brought in a used VW Jetta for a full inspection, we walked her through exactly what needed attention and what didn't, including motor mounts that turned out to be perfectly fine. That kind of straight talk is why so many of our customers keep coming back year after year.
Whether you're due for routine service or want a second opinion after a dealer quote, we're here for European car owners across Merced and the Central Valley.

What customers say
“Shane will always be my go to guy for my Audi A3. Extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and the prices are way better than the dealer and you can trust Shane to be honest and straightforward. Totally skip the dealer and take your car here. Thank you Shane!”
“I have been taking Shane at Central Valley European my vehicles for over 10 years and he has been nothing but helpful, fair and a pleasure to work with. Anyone in the Central Valley looking for an independent euro workshop look no further, this is the place to come.”
“Shane is a great mechanic. I'm talking quality service, fair pricing, and honesty. My sister had recently bought a used VW Jetta and we took it to him to have it serviced and checked. I only know basic stuff about cars and I convinced my sister that she needed new motor mounts, but Shane was nice enough to show us that her motor mounts were perfectly fine.”
