Our story
About Chimo's Upholstery
We're a Los Angeles upholstery shop built on referrals — the kind of shop interior designers pass along to their most particular clients. Whatever the piece, we handle it with the same care: rebuilding seats, backs, and padding from the frame up so the final shape and contour are right.
Our work runs from everyday sofas and cushions to the pieces that matter more — a valuable vintage chair with buttoned tufting, antique Stickley furniture, leather couches that need real attention, and outdoor sets, curtains, and pillows in between.
We'll also track down a specific or hard-to-find fabric if that's what a project calls for, and we offer pickup and return so you don't have to work your schedule around ours.
- Sources hard-to-find and specialty fabrics on request
- Trusted with complex vintage and antique pieces, including buttoned tufting and Stickley furniture
- Pickup and return service for finished work
- Off-street parking behind the shop
What customers say
“Chimo's was recommended by a VERY persnickety friend who uses them often for design jobs. Excellent job! The team rebuilt the seat and back support & padding for a favorite (and valuable) vintage chair. The upholstery is complicated - lots of buttoned tufting on both areas. Too much or too little padding would change the original contour. They nailed it! Great price, no fuss pick up and return exactly when expected, and the people that I spoke with were friendly and informed.”
“I have used Chemo's Upholstery for at least 15 projects. They have saved my sofas three times from a Lab that made Marley look like a saint, two sets of outdoor furniture, curtains, pillows, seat cushions for antique Stickley furniture, and more. They are always quick and always a fair price. One of the best in Los Angeles.”
“Heard about Chimo's from Nextdoor...had leather couch covers that needed a lot of TLC. Chimo and his team were great. Nice work, reasonably priced and more than happy with the whole experience. They have parking in the back too.”
