Our story
A shop built on repeat customers
E & J Auto Repair has been keeping Merced drivers on the road from our shop on West 14th Street. We diagnose what's actually wrong, quote it plainly, and fix it right, whether that's a $220 tire problem you thought was a $1,000 suspension job or body work that still looks seamless years later.
No appointment needed. Bring your car in and we'll get to it fast. Our customers tell us the same things over and over: fair pricing, no upselling, no surprise damage, and work that holds up.
We're a small shop, and we like it that way. We know our regulars by name, we look after students and folks on tight budgets, and yes, there's usually a dog in the office.
- No appointment necessary
- Diagnostics, repair, and body work
- Student and repeat-customer discounts
What customers say
“I came in because I had a strange noise coming from my car. I was expecting to pay over $1000 thinking it was my shocks, however, it was only a bubble in my tire! They were extremely kind, helpful, and transparent about everything. I dropped off my car at 8:30 am and had it back at 5:30 pm. I have been scammed with other mechanics, trying to up charge and break something after fixing another, and this was absolutely NOTHING like that!”
“They did some body work for me a few years back. The price was well under what I was quoted at other shops, and the repair still looks unnoticeable years later. This shop the 🐐!!! Amazing.”
“They do not need an appointment so you won't have to call a week ahead and they get to your car lightning fast. They always provide the most affordable prices and they always recognize their most loyal customers. They are the most friendly individuals that would never rip you off.”
