Our story
A Downey Shop Built on Straight Talk
F & J Tune Lube has been fixing cars in Downey for years, one honest conversation at a time. What started as the shop closest to work for some of our customers has turned into a drive across town for others, because once people find a mechanic who tells them the truth, they stick around.
We walk you through what is actually wrong with your car before we touch it, and we do not pad the invoice with parts or labor you do not need. Whether it is a routine lube job or something more involved under the hood, we would rather earn your business twice a year than lose your trust once.
Our team has seen just about everything roll through the bay, and there is not much we will not take a look at. If it has an engine, bring it in.
- Honest, no-upsell pricing
- Clear explanations before any work begins
- Decade-plus of repeat customers
- Comfortable working on nearly any make or model
What customers say
“Good Customer Service and Support !!!! Jesus is very knowledgeable in the auto mechanic field. He has saved me money on parts and labor”
“They are extremely honest and fair. I started going to them because they were walking distance from where I worked. Now I drive 20 min out of my way to take my car here and have recommended them to multiple family members. They took the time to explain what was wrong with my car, did not try to upsell me and have me very reasonable pricing.”
“I have been coming here for more than 10 years. Jad is honest and Jorge knows his stuff. They can do just about any work on any car. There is nothing they have said they cant work on. One stop shop!”
