Our story
A Shop Built on Trust and Craft
Golden B.A Custom Upholstery Shop gives new life to the furniture people can't bear to part with: antique chairs, mid-century dining sets, and pieces passed down through generations of the same family.
We work with you directly on color and fabric selection, matching new material to a piece's original character, and we refinish wood alongside the reupholstery so the whole piece, not just the seat, comes back looking right.
Behind the small corner building on Figueroa Street is a specialist who treats every piece, from a family heirloom to a Bel Air estate restoration, with the same care and attention to detail.
- Antique & heirloom restoration specialists
- Hands-on fabric & color consultations
- Wood refinishing included with upholstery work
- Dog-friendly shop
What customers say
“Ben is a pro and a pleasure to work with. His rates are reasonable and the results are beautiful! He reupholstered 2 antique pieces that are family heirlooms, and I'm so happy with them.”
“Don't be put off by the small corner building with a lock on the gate just in front of the front door, inside is an upholstery specialist in every way. Ben can do it all. Outstanding work on my mid-century dining chair seat cushions at a great affordable price.”
“I had the best experience at this shop. The owner offered me a latte and water and we spoke about redoing my furniture to its original look. He helped me pick colors and fabric to do the restoration to my Bel Air estate. Mr. Ben was very pleasant and professional.”
