Our story
A Family Craft, One Chair at a Time
Herrera's Upholstery is a family run shop in Salinas where Ben and his brother bring worn, damaged, and antique furniture back to life. We handle everything from patterned armchairs to heirloom pieces passed down through generations, matching fabric and pattern so precisely that a two chair set looks perfectly symmetrical again.
We start every job with an honest bid and clear communication about fabric, color, and timeline, then pick up and deliver your furniture when it's done. Whether it's a pair of antique chairs or a custom cushion for a window seat, we treat each piece like it's going back into our own home.
You'll find us at 235 E Front St in Salinas, open Monday through Friday for bids, drop offs, and pickups.

What customers say
“I cannot even express how happy I am with the job that Ben did reupholstering our two armchairs that were complete disasters! The patterned fabric we had was put on so perfectly, and both chairs are completely 100% symmetrical. They are so much more comfortable now as well. Ben is very professional, personable and great to work with. Our chairs were ready before they were promised, and for a very fair price. Highly recommend him, and we'll be back in the future!”
“Outstanding experience overall. The owner (Ben) was responsive throughout the process, from providing a bid to providing pick-up and drop-off. He clarified important details to ensure that the chairs looked nice from all directions. Ben also was prompt for pick-up and delivery and finished the chairs when promised. Highly recommend this honest, hard-working entrepreneur!”
“Ben and his brother did excellent work on our antique chairs. We received some beautiful antique chairs from an old friend, and after discussions about color and fabric, we got them back in a reasonable amount of time. We would recommend Ben and his brother.”
