Our story
A Mechanic You Can Actually Trust
Jays Automotive Repair is a car repair and maintenance shop on Cherokee Road in Stockton, run by Jason, the mechanic our customers simply call Jay. What started out as mobile work has grown into a shop that people drive across town for, because the approach never changed: look at the whole vehicle, tell you the truth about what it needs, and do the work properly.
Our customers tell us the same thing over and over: that they left feeling confident for the first time. That comes from diagnosis. Jason is excellent at finding the actual problem instead of replacing parts and hoping, and he'll tell you straight when a job isn't one he should take on and point you to someone who can help.
We work on everyday drivers and full commercial fleets alike, and we work within your budget. Years of connections for parts and services mean we can source what your vehicle needs, and the parts we install come with lifetime warranties.

What customers say
“For the first time ever, I left a repair shop feeling confident and satisfied. It is so difficult to find an honest auto repair shop. Top tier mechanic for sure. Jason was thorough, honest, genuine, and just plain skilled. Talking with him, I could tell he was passionate about delivering the best service possible to his customers. What a blessing. Im only dealing him from now on”
“Jay is by far one of the best mechanics I've ever has to deal with. He's honest and works with me. I've been dealing with him since his first mobile days. He always does a great job and works within my budget. He has all the connections for parts and services. When I don't know I ask him and he will tell me if he can do, if not he'll tell me where to go. Dis my mechanic 4 life!”
“An honest and reliable mechanic you can trust. Extremely affordable and puts great care into his work. I've been bringing my car to him for years for routine maintenance and never had a problem. Parts also come with lifetime warranties!”
