Honest Auto Repair, No Unnecessary Upsells

We're Mekanix Auto & Electric, a family-run repair shop in Indio built around one idea: tell customers the truth about their vehicle, then fix it right. Carlos and Daniel handle everything from electrical systems to air conditioning to engines that won't start, and they walk through the diagnosis, the options, and the cost before any work begins.

Electrical work is where we go deeper than most general shops. Wiring, headlights, key fobs, stereo systems: we sort out the problems other mechanics pass on, often for a fraction of what a dealership quotes. When a car comes in that won't even start, we get it running again and check the rest of the vehicle so nothing else surprises the owner later.

We don't perform smog checks ourselves, so when a customer needs one we send them next door rather than turn them away. That's the kind of shop we want to run: straightforward, fair, and focused on keeping Indio's cars on the road.
