Our story
About Montclair Auto Shop
Montclair Auto Shop sits on Mountain Blvd in Oakland, where Waheed has built a reputation one repair at a time. Customers come back for brake jobs, timing belts, tie rods, and the small stuff too, because the same person answers the phone and stands behind the work.
We believe good service means doing more than what's on the invoice. That has meant free touch up paint for a scuffed bumper, a windshield wiper fixed in the rain at no charge, and parking a customer's car closer to the door before an airport run.
Waheed speaks both English and Spanish, so more of the neighborhood can get a straight answer about what their car actually needs.
- Same mechanic on every visit
- Fair, transparent pricing
- English and Spanish spoken
- Goes beyond the invoice
What customers say
“Wow, this is probably my best experience with an auto repair shop ever. Waheed is personable and super helpful. I asked him to do a couple small extra things in addition to the regular maintenance, and not only did he do them at no extra charge, he also got me some touch up paint and said he'd use it on a scuffed area for me also without charge. He even remembered I was heading to the airport when I dropped off my car and parked the car so as to minimize the distance I'd have to walk when I got back. I'm glad to have him in the neighborhood.”
“Recently: rear brakes, tie rod, timing belt. As in the past, on time, communicative (I have to call, but Waheed always picks up), and good value. Learned this time around that Waheed speaks Spanish.”
“I've been to this place a few times for minor repairs. Wahid is honest, does good work and charges a fair price. This is my go-to.”
