Our story
A family-run tow truck, answering at any hour
On The Go Towing is a family operation based on Clayton Ave in Modesto. Ed takes the calls, and more often than not it's Ed and his son who roll up to the shoulder, the driveway, or the center divide where you're waiting. We run 24 hours a day, seven days a week, because breakdowns don't keep business hours. Customers regularly reach us at six in the morning after calling half a dozen other companies with no answer. We pick up, give a straight quote, and get moving. Every car we've hooked is somebody's day going sideways. That's why drivers tell us we were fast, fair, and easy to deal with, and why we've earned a 5-star rating across 21 Google reviews.
- Open 24 hours, every day of the year
- Family owned and operated: you deal with the owner
- Straight, reasonable quotes over the phone
What customers say
“I got myself stranded this morning at 6:30 here in Modesto. After calling over 6 different companies, Ed answered the phone on the 2nd ring, and gave me a reasonable quote to have my completely dead Tesla Model X towed to the super charger a mile away. They also were at my location in the specified ETA. Thank you so much On the Go Tow, you saved my day.”
“I called On The Go Towing on a Friday afternoon for a disabled and stranded vehicle in the center divide of Hwy 99. Edgar immediately went to the location and determined it was safe to recover the vehicle and get it off of the freeway. While chatting with him, he determined it was the fuel pump and suggested a reasonable mechanic to fix it. I used his recommendation and the whole process was seamless at an affordable price. Thanks again, Edgar”
“My car broke down this morning and I called around to other places and they were charging me a lot. I then called on the go towing and they came to my rescue. I'm super grateful they came to pick me up so early at 6am. I will be recommending On the Go to friends and family and if I ever need a tow again I will be calling them again!”
