Our story
Honest Answers, Fair Prices, Every Time
When something's wrong with your car, we tell you exactly what needs fixing now and what can safely wait. Customers come to us after a diagnostic somewhere else got waved off, and we walk them through what we find, brake wear included, so nothing is a surprise at pickup.
We keep our prices fair and our service thorough, from a routine oil change to a full engine repair, and we offer after-hours drop-off because we know your day doesn't stop when our doors close. If we notice something small, like a forgotten service reminder, we'll mail it to you rather than let it slide.
Families have brought us their cars for well over a decade, from new to high mileage, city runabouts to daily commuters. We're a small, independently owned shop in San Diego, and we'd rather earn that kind of loyalty one honest repair at a time than chase anything else.
- Straight talk on what's urgent and what can wait
- Fair, transparent pricing
- After-hours drop-off available
- Trusted by the same families for over a decade
What customers say
“They were amazing, walked me through everything and told me what needs to be fixed immediately and what can wait for later. My brake pads were at 2mm. I had my car at another mechanic the week before and he said my car was fine and he never mentioned the brake pads. It is so important to be able to trust your mechanic.”
“Extremely fair prices, great service, easy after hours drop off. When I picked it up, I noticed they didn't give me a next service sticker on the window. Well, the next week I found it in my mailbox with a friendly note. No other auto shop in the city would go to that length. Ron's is the best.”
“Ron and his staff have repaired 3 different cars for me over the years. Every staff person is kind, friendly, and sincerely eager to help. I strongly recommend Ron's Auto Clinic if you want quality service from knowledgeable mechanics and administrative staff who are honest and hard working.”
