Our story
About Sam's Auto Shop
We've been keeping Chula Vista drivers on the road with honest, straightforward repairs. From oil changes and brake checks to A/C diagnostics and state smog inspections, we handle it the right way the first time and tell you exactly what your car needs.
We know how easy it is to feel taken advantage of at an auto shop. That's why we call customers when it's time for routine maintenance and walk them through what we find on the lift before any work begins. When one customer's battery terminal was too corroded to touch, we had her back on the road with a new battery in under thirty minutes.
We're proud to offer a military discount, squeeze in same-day appointments when we can, and treat every car in our shop like it's our own.

What customers say
“Mr. Mike has been my mechanic since I moved to San Diego 10 years ago. Mr. Mike is honest, great work ethics, reliable and very good person. Now that I am married we still bringing our cars to him and recommending him to anyone who needs a mechanic.”
“Pulled in to get an estimate on an A/C diagnostic. The mechanic came out and greeted me right away. After 2 mins he determined I needed a few small valves and a recharge. Did the work right away and I was out in less than an hour. Great experience and very reasonable cost.”
“We stopped in to see if we could get our oil changed without an appointment and Mike was so helpful and they were able to squeeze us right in. He also let us know our brake pads had about 20% life left, so they didn't need to be changed right away but something we should plan for. Mike was kind enough to give us a military discount as well.”
