Our story
At San Leandro Auto Upholstery, Larry and the team rebuild interiors from the seat frame up. New foam and padding go in under fresh upholstery, original hardware and buttons get transferred over, and metal fittings are polished so everything looks and works the way it did new.
We work on classic cars and modern vehicles alike, from a 1963 Chevy convertible to a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. Torn seats, water damaged carpet, and shrunken convertible tops all get the same attention to detail, and we're happy to walk customers through their options before any work begins.
We keep pricing fair and communication clear from the first estimate to the final fitting, and we work around our customers' schedules whenever we can.
What customers say
“Larry & Co. did a spectacular job installing new upholstery on my '63 Chevy. In addition to getting the upholstery mounted to the seats snugly, they also replaced the padding and burlap underneath, transferred the ornamental metal buttons from the original upholstery, and repainted the frames and polished all the hardware so they're looking and operating as smoothly as they did some 58 years ago. Larry had great communication throughout and his pricing was very fair.”
“Larry did fantastic work to my water damaged tan colored carpet! He gave me an option to replace or restore it. It's a 1999 car, so I chose to restore the water soaked, molded, blackened carpet. I got my car back within a reasonable time and it looked like new. Larry was flexible with my schedule and went above and beyond.”
“Larry did a great job on the used car my daughter had just purchased. The drivers seat was very uncomfortable and caused her back pain. The seat also had a tear. Larry quickly took care of both issues at a very reasonable price. He was also very friendly and fun to deal with.”
