Our story
A Neighborhood Upholstery Shop on Noriega Street
Soam's Custom Upholstery reworks sofas, chairs, and cushions for San Francisco families out of our shop on Noriega Street. We handle everything from a straightforward cushion refresh to a full rebuild of a chair that has been in the family for generations.
We cut foam to order, source fabric to match what you already love, and talk through the options before we start cutting. If you can't get a piece to us, we can pick it up and bring it back home when it's finished.
Every job is done in house, by hand, with the kind of attention that comes from running a small shop instead of a factory line.
- Custom foam cut to order
- Fabric and leather matched to your piece
- Pickup and delivery available
- Family-run San Francisco shop
What customers say
“I had such a good experience having my sofa cushions refurbished. Excellent job and very nice person. Will definitely be back.”
“They had the exact type of foam I needed for replacement inserts for 2 custom couch cushions. Best of all was the exceptional and personalized service and especially the kindness of the owner. I felt like a beloved family member was helping me and I was offered to have my pieces delivered to my home since I don't drive.”
“This was the perfect place to have new sofa seat covers made. The fabric was as near to the original as you can get, the quality of the finished product was excellent, and the covers were finished before I had expected! Wonderful craftsmanship and super nice people!”
