Our story
About Speedy Uno Auto Repair
Speedy Uno Auto Repair is a Merced auto shop built on doing the job right and telling customers the truth about what their car needs. Santiago walks you through every diagnosis in plain language, so you understand exactly what's being fixed and why before any work begins.
We don't believe in upselling. If a repair isn't needed, we won't recommend it, and once we fix something, it stays fixed. Customers who've come to us for engine block replacements, transmission work, cooling system repairs, and everyday maintenance keep coming back and sending their friends and family our way.
Whether it's a quick oil change or an engine that's given up entirely, we bring the same care and honesty to every vehicle that comes through our door.
- No unnecessary upsells
- Plain-language diagnostics
- Fixes that stay fixed

What customers say
“I highly recommend this auto repair shop. Santiago is professional, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly, so you always know exactly what work is needed. His honesty and integrity are hard to find, and he never tries to upsell unnecessary repairs.”
“I came to Speedy Uno Auto Repair in desperate need of an oil pump replacement on my 2004 Chevrolet Aveo. Santiago gave me a good quote and agreed to work on my car with no questions asked. His prices are very affordable and his work is professional. After my previous mechanic experiences in Merced, Santiago earned a loyal customer.”
“Was highly recommended to me to try his shop and they weren't wrong! Santiago quickly replaced the engine gaskets that were leaking oil and cleaned up the area; he also adjusted the valves for smoother running. Drove about 700 miles since the work was done and everything is working good as new. Will definitely be back if I ever need anything else repaired.”
